The Rose
As the day winds down, he looks back on its adventures. He sees a teenage boy in a world of worry fending for himself. As he looks around him, everything is dark and bleak...but wait! There is that one thing right in the center of his view. A red rose that shines bright in the darkness. As he gets closer, it gets brighter until finally, he is a mere three feet from the rose when it shoots into the sky. It becomes a beautiful firework that lights up the world around him and, for the first time, he sees the green fields, the blooming flowers, the sparkling brook. The light went out and there in front of him, the rose stood, a dr

Who Do You Think You Are
To the love of my life:
Who do you think you are to treat me this way? I loved you with all of my heart and gave you everything. Other than breaking my heart, what did you accomplish? Was it really worth it for you to do that and to lose the one person that really loved you for who you are? I’m sorry for all that I said. I wish that I could take it all back and erase the past. I can’t stand to live with this regret while wondering what it would be like if we never said those things to each other. Are you happy now that you are free of me and that you don’t have to worry about my feelings? I miss you and wish tha

A Gay Teen's Story- Chapter 2
It was the first time that I ever really dreamed of anyone. Who was it? Elias. The boy that had ruined my life. Now, he was spreading his tendrils into my dreams too?! It wasn't fair. Why did he have to take Honors Chemistry or Honors French 2? Why couldn't he have taken other classes? A new idea came to mind; maybe the Fates made sure that everything happened for a reason. But what could he do for my life?
Anyway, the dream. Elias and I were in Honors Chemistry. I raised my hand and asked to go to the bathroom. I paused outside the door for some reason. I turn around, and there he is. He was only inches from my face, and I could smell

I was not amused with the random selection of today. Why did higher powers hate me so much? Couldn't they hate someone else for a change? I sighed, and started going through my morning routine. Today, I picked out another pair of khaki shorts I had, and I added a plain maroon tee that somewhat hugged my body, and my trusty converse. Going downstairs, I was still irritable from the alarm clock incident, and Blade was still asleep, but I filled his bowl anyway, and got myself some Pop Tarts to eat.
When I was done, I went upstairs to wake up Blade and

A Gay Teen's Story- Chapter 4
Days and weeks pass quickly when you are barely connected to society. Before I knew it, August became September, which breezed itself into October. It was actually early October when I finally came out of my stupor for enough time to realize what had happened to me.
At school, I barely said anything. There wasn't a need to say when your only friends left you. I put on a show at home, pretending to be happy, pretending to call Zac and Lindsey, everything. I think it was pretty convincing, actually. The most obvious change outwardly was my style. It slowly evolved from shorts and tees to skinny jeans and long sleeved shirts.

The prefect looked at Travis cautiously. "Eduardo? He's in detention...isn't he?" this last part was said with a measure of panic which might have seemed funny in any other situation.
"I just need to speak with him." Travis assured the prefect who breathed a sigh of relief. "It's personal."
"Right, well yeah, he's in detention. One of the deans should be there." the prefect's eyes narrowed. "You aren't going to cause trouble are you?"
"No, it's nothing really, I honestly just need to ask him a question."
The prefect looked far from convinced but didn't say anything more as Travis left the student administrative offices and headed towa
Travis spent the rest of that morning trying to find Eduardo's room again. He tried all the doors up and down the hall but to no avail. He finally conceded that there was nothing to be done but go back to detention and see if he could find the elusive student there. Upon arriving in detention though, the Dean of Students frowned and checked his roster, saying that Eduardo had checked out some time ago to take a sick student to the medical ward. Exasperated, Travis trekked across campus to the medical ward to speak with the sisters there. When he spoke with the nun in question, one sister Anne, she nodded and said that Eduardo had indeed been
